Accessibility at Boulevard

Welcome just as you are

Something that is self-evident for one person can be an obstacle for another. Based on this awareness, the Theaterfestival Boulevard steadily works on the accessibility of the festival. Not only on the locations, but also in our communication, the programme and everything all around. We take steps to achieve this every year, based on the experiences of our visitors. The festival offers all kinds of facilities for people with a visual, hearing, cognitive or mobile disability. Boulevard also takes into account people for whom poverty, low literacy or cultural background make it difficult to go to the festival.

A selection of the facilities: performances with interpreter in Dutch sign language, written interpreter and audiotext, menus in Braille, barrier-free access, stimulus-free, relaxed performances, adapted toilets and wheelchair spaces, tailor-made day programmes for groups, free programmes for those with a virtually empty budget.
