The fine print

We want everyone to experience Boulevard in a pleasant atmosphere. Therefore, the following agreements apply:

• After the start of the performance, it is not possible to enter
• Please, turn off your phone or put it on aeroplane mode when you visit a performance
• It might be tempting but filming, taking photo’s or recording audio is prohibited
• Reimbursement of the entrance fee and returning or swapping from already bought tickets is not possible
• If Boulevard is obliged to cancel a performance because of changing circumstances or measures because of a pandemic, the visitor has three choices: swapping festivalticket[s] for other performances, a refund of the payment or donating the payment
• Theaterfestival Boulevard cannot be held liable for the loss, theft, and damage of possessions and tickets
• Found an object? Make the unlucky person happy. Bring the found object to Ticket & Info
• Eighteen years old and in the mood for alcohol? Bring your ID with you
• Without written permission, it is not allowed to spread flyers or sell goods at the festival
• Give people with a disability space to enjoy the festival. Boulevard wants to be accessible for everyone
• Dogs are not allowed in the tents at the festival park (except for guide dogs)
• Theaterfestival Boulevard makes photographs during the festival. Footage of the festival, makers and visitors could be used in our publicity and communication. If we recognisably portray someone, we ask permission verbally. If you have any objections, please let us know.
• Entering our festival grounds and performance locations as well as participate at performances is at your own risk.

Our six rules

At a festival, you want to feel safe and comfortable. You can, as long as everyone follows these rules.

1. At our festival, we do not tolerate any expressions of racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, body shaming, ableism, or any other forms of unequal treatment. It's as simple as that.

2. "What you see" is often "what you guess." So dare to look beyond your assumptions or prejudices. Not sure how to address someone? Just ask.

3. Respect others' boundaries. Difficult? Not at all. Body language is universal: no means no.

4. So many people, so many backgrounds and experiences. Accept the differences. Listening to others is a good start. Really.

5. Take responsibility for your actions and behavior. Be aware of your intentions and language.

6. A festival is a small society. Participating for a few hours or days? Great. Take care of each other, your surroundings, and the environment.

Let us know if someone bothers you, discriminates against you, or causes you any discomfort. Speak to one of our staff members.

If it’s not an emergency, you can also contact us at hospitality@festivalboulevard.nl. You can also reach out if you have any questions or comments about the text above.
