Electric Grand
Bart van Dongen/ Antoon Versteegde | NL
A bamboo cathedral in front of a piano - just a bright idea from visual artist Antoon Versteegde and pianist/composer Bart van Dongen. The pair built a musical work of art that immerses the listener in the sacred sounds of the piano. Each tone of the grand piano has its own speaker. These form a large circle in which the pianist and the audience are located. Eighteen pyramids of ten meters high, with a total of seventy-two speakers: the Electric Grand. With enchanting compositions, specially made for this life-size instrument, you can't help but be carried away over the water at the citadel, to ever greater heights.
