Pokon (4+)
De Dansers | NL
Pokon is plant food and comes from Veenendaal. De Dansers is a dance company from Utrecht. What do they have in common? They keep things alive and kicking. This performance is a rejuvenation cure for greenery and age. Give the three players some furniture, an instrument, a kitchen ladder and some plants, and they'll turn it into a whirling, crazy alternative world. They run, climb, linger and get dirty. Even though we sometimes get stuck - in a table, a staircase or those annoying rules - pokon keeps you upright.
Previously, De Dansers could be seen on Boulevard with Spoon Spoon, and their explosive Shake Shake Shake, with which they shook the tower on the festival square to its foundations. De Volkskrant wrote about this: 'De Dansers outdo themselves with a performance that works as an antidepressant', now back with an additional dose of much-needed elixir of life.
‘Playful and associative... They know how to keep the attention of the young audience with the energy and musicality.'
