Remy x ARO
Remy van Kesteren |
You feel the bass in your stomach, the tremulous tones usher you into an alternative universe, you have your eyes closed and the only thing your body can do in response is move. Not the effect you’d expect from harp music. But something you can certainly expect in this eclectic concert by world famous harpist Remy van Kesteren and a real robot orchestra. Harp pop never dies!
Two years ago Remy toured the Netherlands with Remy X ARO. A performance with twenty robots, which help him create his musical world like a kind of analogue drum computer. Last year his musical companion Jurjen Alkema (Blauwe Uur), worked hard towards the completion of a 2.0 version. He was also responsible for the dazzlingly flashy visuals. This mesmerising work arose from Remy's wish to unite the club, the concert hall and the festivals. This performance is a combination of minimal music, pop and beats. Despite your irrepressible urge to dance, this is a seated concert.
