How do you want to be remembered? In the perennial art project, Motus Mori is the body the archive. Over the years, more than 700 people have already donated their movement. You, too, can be included in the movement archive. The dancer goes with you in a 'movement interview' in search of your personal motor skills. The dancers' body takes over your movements. The dancer registers your movement and links them to other people in the archive. A unique experience, especially after a year where we weren't able to meet people in person. Based on your movements, the dancer creates a movement portrait, which you can experience in the museum. Your ticket also grants you access to the Motus Mori: Museum (van 17 t/m 22 augustus 2021). In this exhibition, you will see your movement portrait in the body of the dancer. Together with the portraits of other Bosschenaren and cities, this exhibition gives an impressive and stirring image of humanity.

Location St. Joost School of Art & Design
Running time 75 min.

Against the background of a world in which human behaviour is accurately measured and increasingly controlled with the help of data, Katja Heitmann feels the need to 'capture' people in a different way in her work—namely, based on our daily movements. Dancers archive them and present them during Motus Mori: Meeting the Archive.

Motus Mori: Museum

In the second half of the festival, Motus Mori transforms into an exhibition of personal choreographic portraits that displays an impressive and poignant image of being human in 2021. All movements stored in the archive embodied by the dancers become choreographies exhibited by professional dancers. A museum full of classified, personal, twitchy, inherited or controlled movements. An exhibition about humans: you have never seen her so dissected. Maybe your wobbly toes are among them. Participants in Motus Mori: Meet The Archive also receive access to the museum.

'I recognized my 'translated' tics and gestures, whispering mixed with those of Pavel, Monika, Tosca and Herr Stamm. Highly original.'
