Primordial
Vege Lijf | NL
Making life manageable. We do this by developing structures, by manoeuvring through the crowd and by clinging to rules and morals like drowning people on lifeboats. We all try our best to make it happen but forget to listen to the honesty of our bodies along the way. What if we could silence our thought, our considerations, to experience a different state of being? By deconstructing the modern body and moving from impulses, mime collective VegeLijf searches with Primordial for the body without a strategy. In this performance with two dancers in a fused sculpture, the company shows how a body could move independently from ingrained structures.
'It is pure, physical theatre, an ode to the body, the most important instrument of all those graduating players, and perhaps all of us.'
