Die Hexe

Club Gewalt präsentiert Herr Hamsterfleisch | NL

Die Hexe: the older woman; the single woman; the hysterical woman. The woman who lives with the moon and spreads her legs before Satan. The woman who eats children. Between 1450 and 1750, it is estimated that between 30,000 – 60,000 women were executed on charges of witchcraft in Europe. A systematic mass murder for fear of what falls outside the stifling mores. And where we laugh about today. It's time to get angry about this. In a musical ritual with relentless synths and deep basses, Herr Hamsterfleisch transforms into the archetype of the witch. An ode to the woman who is hard to love.

Location Zuiderpark/Tent Noord
Running time 35 min.

Herr Hamsterfleisch is a radical eco-feminist alter ego of music and performance collective Club Gewalt, with club member Loulou as the virtuoso frontwoman. Once inspired by Nina Hagen, they make songs according to the mantra: Weiblich, Laut und Gross. That is, all in Hamster-Deutsch and with a lot of noise. So don't forget your earplugs.
