Al een talks about the importance of finding, understanding and embracing self-love before trying to love someone else.
The piece was created as a result of a PLAN Residency and was choreographed and danced by Lorena Valenzuela and Jeffrey Hoofs. These two makers specialize in “Whacking” and “Popping” dance styles from underground street and club culture. In addition to their powerful expression, they have combined their knowledge and technology to create new movement concepts. 'Al een' talks about the importance of finding, understanding and embracing self-love before trying to love someone else. The story takes us on a journey of confrontation, healing and transformation.
