ID-ODDS
Minoe Bossink / Fontys Academy of the Arts | NL
What is the best way to communicate with another person? How will they respond? In ID-ODDS, we follow four dancers in their search for the right way to interact with each other.
ID-ODDS is inspired by Thomas Erikson’s book Surrounded by idiots. Red, green, yellow, and blue form a colourful palette of personalities that shape our daily lives. Everyone has unique qualities and flaws. Human beings try to connect by reaching out, clashing and merging. Always wanting to understand the other as difficult as that may sound. In ID-ODDS, the red, green, yellow and blue personalities from Erikson's book engage in a search for the right way to treat each other. Understanding and consideration for the other provide the opportunity for these colours to mix. Thousands of combinations are possible, but we must keep searching for the most appropriate palette.
This performance is one of the six Fontys Finals, graduation works by students from Fontys Academy of the Arts. Fontys Finals is a part of Future Feels, a daily programme by new performing art talent in which art students and festival meet, where future artists create, present and exchange.
