Running time 45 min.
Genre Dance

Grupo Impacto was born over 25 years ago, when teenagers from the outskirts of Viçosa, Brazil, got their chance to study at an art school. Throughout all these years, driven by their passion for hip-hop, these young individuals remained united with the restless goal of researching, developing, and perfecting their art rooted in the streets.  Since the beginning of their formation, the group has taken part in various courses, festivals, and competitions, always standing out with their own choreographies. In 2018, Grupo Impacto embarked on its first international tour, performing at Boulevard.

The group is inspired by the indigenous and African influences which are strongly represented in Brazil. How did the relationship between the people of two different cultures influence the creation of Brazilian culture?

This performance will have its Dutch premiere on Saturday August 3.
