arm dances
Niels Weijer | DE
In arm dances, four dancers dance with a giant sculpted arm.
arm dances reveals the stories and drama of baroque sculptures and brings them to life. The dancers are constantly transforming. Sometimes they are extensions of each other's bodies, other times parts of a tableau vivant, or the workers in a museum setting up a sculpture. In this performance, longing for touch, providing care and a deep sense of trust in each other merge while dancing with a large arm object.
The performance will have its Dutch premiere on Saturday 10 August.
