Since 2019, Katja Heitmann has been building an archive for human movements. With Motus Mori: CORPUS, she depicts the transfer of personal movements to a communal body. You can better understand the other person by experiencing their movement.

Location Huis73/Pleitzaal
Running time 45 min.
Genre Dance

For Motus Mori: CORPUS, Katja Heitmann worked with a group of people from Leeds aged 20 to 86 who each have a distinctive physical expertise because of a physical restriction or specialisation. Their bodies determine how they navigate through the world. The performers' bodies intently follow each other's movements. They record these movements and carefully transfer them to the other. From body to body to body...

At the end of the performance, you will receive a personal movement to take home. Are you a movement-archivist too?

The performance has its Dutch premiere during Boulevard on Friday the 2nd of August.
