Avans students and alumni present a fiery mix of cabaret and performances. Initiative of Avans University of Applied Sciences and Avans Creative Innovation.
There is always something going on at Club Felix. In the early evening, two short cabaret shows by students and alumni of the Koningstheateracademie will be shown at 17.00h and 18.30h, followed by a performance at 19.30h by students and alumni of St Joost School of Art & Design.
An artistic team of 12 students and alumni curated the programme. The makers involved are: Iris Schröder, Jort van der Maarel, Tommy Zonneveld, Noah Oelderik, Rosalie Custers, Teun Eljon, Anne-José Krooneman, Emre Vander Heijden, Justin Reinir Croes, Tjalling de Leeuw in 't Veld, Kasper van der Tol and Feline Pouwels.
Performers
Noah Oeldrik, a musical story teller who sometimes does not understand life and plays piano themselves. Are we individual wonders or yet another of the same?
Rosalie Custers, Rosalie makes a musical, poetic, storytelling call to be radically sweet. Because we all can do that. All of us.
Jort van der Maarel, Jort invites his audience to join him on the sideline. Where from you can put things back into perspective and brood over the question: is there still room for simplicity? And if so, where on earth?
Tommy Zonneveld, On stage, Tommy has inexhaustible energy and enormous associative ability. He makes the themes of diversity, racism and adoption discussable with humour and allows different perspectives to come together. In the performance you can see at theaterfestival Boulevard, Tommy delves into his adoption past.
Tjalling de Leeuw in ' Veld, everything has a rhythm. Everything has a frequency. Everything moves. Through my audio visual and musical practice I research our existence within time, life and technology.
Justin Reinir Croes, I reconnect with my Arawak/Caquetío indigenous ancestors through rituals and the natural material of rucu.
Director Anna Uitde Haag: "Club Felix is a collective of young, talented makers. Each of them is passionate about their own field and curious about the other. They play their own material and performances, but also feel like taking the audience into wondrous co-creations."
About Avans Creative Innovation
The Koningstheateracademie, St Joost School of Art & Design and the Business Innovation, Communication and Communication & Multimedia Design Breda programmes are part of Avans Creative Innovation. The education we offer is at the intersection of art, design, technology and economics. Together, we take on the challenge of educating critical creative professionals. We combine our own craftsmanship with our collective imagination to make the world more meaningful for people and the environment. We do this from two cities: Breda and 's Hertogenbosch and currently at five locations. We are currently working on bringing together the courses of Avans Creative Innovation in Den Bosch in the EKP building.
