Collignon draws his influences from all over the world, different styles and rhythms, and from both acoustic and electronic sounds. It makes Collignon a live act that takes you on a surprising, musical journey.
Collignon is actually a pool of Jori Collignon's extensive music and travel experiences that he has put into colourful songs. A natural mix of acoustic and electronic instruments balance traditional and futuristic themes, influenced by South American, African and Arabic music. He creatively combines these disparate styles so that his music actually has no real precursors and mostly excels in originality.
Even though he now has a permanent residence, "The music allows me to keep travelling," Collignon himself says about the sultry rhythms of the tracks. Live, Collignon is accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Gino Bombrini, with whom he previously created a furore with the bands SKIP&DIE and Yves Lennertz (ex Yin Yin).
