Unnecessary Violence (4+)
Compagnie Hëin? | FR
Unnecessary Violence is an absurd, playful family performance based on the relationship between two artists and the belief that people do not lose their inner child as they grow older.
Unnecessary Violence is inspired by the behaviour of children who playfully test the boundaries of their environment. The artists believe this behaviour is still present in adults, but hidden deep beneath the layers of adulthood.
The two characters in the performance are based on the players Elise Morard and Nils Liedtke and their friendship. They tease, fight, forgive, support and ignore each other as friends and do not take themselves too seriously. Using juggling as a language, the players invite the audience into a place surrounded by hostility, cooperation, absurdities, playfulness, juggling, humor and maybe a little bit of violence. Unnecessary Violance is an ode to our inner child.
The performance Unnecessary Violence by Compagnie Hëin? is spoken in English.
