LIEVE BUREN is a performance that shows what it means to be neighbours with gentle honesty, pointed observations and deliciously teenage humour. Made by eight young Dutch and Flemish artists aged between 14 and 19.

Location Huis73/ Hofzaal
Running time 30 min.
Genre New Talent

What do my neighbours really think of me? Why do they shout like that, and why do they park their car in front of our door? Now that my neighbours are divorced, where has their daughter gone? And... if Belgium is a neighbour of the Netherlands, is Europe neighbours with Asia? Is Earth neighbours with Mars? Has anyone seen my cat? Why is it so uncomfortable in the lift? LIEVE BUREN answers those questions.

LIEVE BUREN is an exchange project by KAAIMAN [BE] and Kunstbende [NL]. Within four days, the young generation of artists created the performance with the same name under the guidance of actor and theatre maker Gilles Van Hecke and writer and musician Nicole Kaandorp.

LIEVE BUREN will have its Dutch premiere on Saturday the 5th of August at 19:00h.
