In may 2021 we began a creative research together with Elmer Kouwenberg, a visual artist, whose body had been paralyzed due to a car accident 28 years ago.
As artists and care-workers we took our practices into this physical research to explore movement, from and with limitations.

Location Zuiderpark/De Dom
Running time Free

Landing on Feathers, is a poetic short film, portraying human relationships. The film allows us to see vulnerability and care within most intimate and close surroundings.
The film opens up the question towards the polarity between ability/disability,  caretaker and care-receiver, and where self-care takes its position. What empowers our sense of togetherness? How could we experience our different bodies and identities beyond their status quo?

After the film we invite you to an embodied conversation in which we offer simple and playful exercises to support reflections and questions.

The aftertalk will be in English, but you can also contribute in Dutch.
