There is a war in Europe. SPRING Festival, Theaterfestival Boulevard and Festival Cement invite you to join the urgent conversation about the role and obligations of art, artists and arts organizations in (international) communities that are inflicted by war. The latest Russian State aggression on Ukraine is a wake-up call and shows the direct importance of such conversation. The collaborating festivals initiate a possibility to meet in ways that go beyond talking. The goal is to connect and activate already existing networks on the short term, while taking the awareness of a long-term agenda into account.
Artists, arts workers and residents of different communities are brought together in a series of gatherings. The first meeting is organized at Theaterfestival Boulevard ‘s-Hertogenbosch on the 7th of August from 2pm till 5pm.
During the sharing you are invited to feel where and how you want to connect, react or act in this shared space. There will be two introductions of Anna Luka da Silva introducing us in healing practice and Kopano Morago share reflections about the hierarchy of bodily/human concern. After that the space is open for the rest to share. We collect our thoughts, opinions and proposals and create a shared initiative to step into action. You are welcome if you want to speak up, but also if you just want to listen. We would be happy to have you at this meeting. Are you willing to say something, to share or to initiate something? 15:45 – 16:30: coffee and tea break
16:30 – 17:00: Visit performance Antifragile Body – Selma Selman (optional)
