During the year a whole team is working on the festival. Evaluations take place in autumn and at that time, plans are made for the next edition. At the current moment, all departments are working on full force. Programming is busy making a beautiful, surprising program. Production is looking at unique locations throughout the city and sketching the design of the festival heart. Plans are made on how we can inform and surprise our visitors. Evaluations are wrapped up and new plans are starting to get shape. We are looking for ways to further improve our sustainability and the creation of a safe and pleasant place for everyone.
You can get in touch for the festival in 2024, it is possible to announce yourself until December 2023. We only show work of professional theatre makers and musicians. Plans are welcome after your entry via mail. Mention clearly in your email what kind of performance or project you are offering. You can get in touch by mailing to programmering@festivalboulevard.nl. We think it is important that our festival is a safe place to experience theatre. To ensure that any tensions are removed, we intend to apply trigger warnings in the information of a performance.
On our website we inform you about the use of stroboscopic effects and/or loud sounds.
We do not provide detailed information about what exactly happens in a performance, some spectators like to be surprised. At the same time, we are aware that certain images, effects, sounds or themes are not self-evident for everyone. We try to make this information as clear as possible in the text on our website.
To ensure that everyone has a good experience, you can always get information via toegankelijkheid@festivalboulevard.nl. If you need extra facilities for a performance (such as a seat or standing area near the exit, for example) you can contact us via e-mail.
Boulevard has received the golden Green Key certificate in 2023.
Green Key is the international quality mark for organizations in the tourism and recreation sector that are serious and verifiable about sustainability. Green Key Nederland has three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. The more optional measures, the higher the final result. Boulevard was inspected twice by an external inspector: once before and once during the festival.
The judge assessed many aspects; from communication, energy, cleaning, sustainable purchasing to textile use. These aspects are used to assess whether you receive a Green Key quality mark. Such a quality mark shows that Boulevard goes a step further than regular legislation and regulations.
