New editions of Clubnights FOMO FATALE during Theaterfestival Boulevard

There is a wish in Den Bosch for a bigger nightlife, this remains a topic for discussion. In the meantime, there are experiments with presenting daring music and inspiring art. FOMO FATALE is such an event where a new night culture is being realised. The two club nights, on Saturday 3 and 10 August in Willem Twee Poppodium, are part of the 40th edition of Theaterfestival Boulevard. This year, Rosa van Rooij (known from Rooibosch and FOMO FATALE 2023) is the programmer. During both clubnights, you can also visit the exhibition ‘Blind Spots’ (curated by Lucia Femia), with work by Den Bosch artist Amber Lotte Penders, Esmina Merks and light artist Martin van Staveren.

Rosa: “The programme that I put together for FOMO FATALE represents for me what I miss in the night in Den Bosch, namely diversity. Diversity for me is separate from differences in gender, where you come from or what you believe in. It is about hearing a new sound and being stimulated in different ways, both musically and visually. With this program I want to make sure that you hear or experience something that you normally do not encounter in Den Bosch.”

FOMO FATALE stands for new music and visual art. On the first club night you will experience a night full of colorful versatility, where each artist brings their own unique flair. The second night is shrouded in darkness and mystery. Raw and daring beats that will throw you off track and at the same time make you dance until the morning. During both clubnights you can also admire the exhibition ‘Blind Spots’ (curated by Lucia Femia), with work by Den Bosch artist Amber Lotte Penders, Esmina Merks and light artist Martin van Staveren.

FOMO FATALE on Saturday August 3 will be an evening where you will effortlessly switch between different styles and sounds. Programmer Rosa: “I think it is important to be surprised on the dance floor and to hear ‘non-obvious’ music. We already have enough of that. I think that the first Dutch queer rap formation ‘LIONSTORM’ will set a good tone for this and that Iris Rijskamp, ​​DJ Shahmaran and ZOBAYDA will fit in perfectly.”

The second evening, Saturday 10 August, is all about rawness and experiment. This evening will stay as far away as possible from the polished sound that you often encounter in the commercial corner.
