In the last few years, we consciously took measures to make our festival more sustainable. After all, our festival uses electricity, water and other resources, causes traffic by audience and artists, and generates waste. We want to limit these streams, and we search for alternatives.
For over ten years, we have used hard cups and a deposit system. We use a new energy system by Green, an innovator in these systems. We sort our waste backstage and in our festival's heart and locations. Our festival is easily reachable via public transport. Suppliers try to transport their cargo together as much as possible.
Green Key
This year, employees of Green Key will visit our festival and determine whether we will receive a Green Key label. Green Key is an international label for sustainable companies operating in the leisure and hospitality sector. They evaluate aspects related to communication, hygiene, energy, purchasing, and textiles. The label represents the steps taken regarding sustainability. Therefore, it is an excellent measurement to evaluate our current sustainability measures.
